Single Frequency Laser, Model SFL-1

Single-frequency lasers are used in laser interferometers for precise linear distance (displacement) measurement in machine tools and other equipment that use linear stages.

The Model SFL-1 frequency stabilized HeNe laser source emits a single linearly-polarized beam of 1mm diameter The laser uses a thermal controller to maintain cavity temperature and therefore mode position. The low power output level allows for easy safety procedures.
